Yoga Teacher
Tanya first discovered yoga as a teenager and it became a complimentary practice to her dance training, supporting her through chronic lower back pain. She committed to a dedicated practice in 2015 to create time out for herself from the demands of solo parenting her daughter, who has a disability. This led her to deep practices of self inquiry and healing work that has been the catalyst for her spiritual and personal growth over the past 13 years.
Tanya had a career in catastrophic injury management as an Occupational Therapist and NRL massage therapist, with a strong focus on functional rehab. She became a yoga teacher in 2015 and has completed over 500 hours of training including yin yoga, Tantric Hatha, Ayurvedic yoga, and meditation. Her passion for functional anatomy, physiology and alignment has slowly been replaced by her deep love for stillness, presence, and embodied awareness of Self. These themes are woven through her teachings, alongside a wealth of knowledge from yoga, Buddhist and somatic therapies and philosophies.
Tanya is also a breathwork facilitator, Emotional Freedom practitioner, energy worker and meta health enthusiast – she provides 1:1 healing experiences, workshops and retreats that take a deep dive beyond the confines of the mind, into the heart of your Truth to connect, integrate and heal from emotional trauma to cultivate freedom from suffering.
